ECSU's Trahan makes NCAA history in Lady Vikings' win over Livingstone
All-American Becomes First Woman with 2,000 Points and 1,500

SALISBURY, NC- Celeste Trahan scored 30 points and pulled down 19
rebounds in Elizabeth City State's 65-56 win over Livingstone
College Tuesday evening at New Trent Gymnasium.
Trahan entered Tuesday night's game needing just nine boards to
secure 1,500 rebounds in her career. Now she has joined the NCAA
record books as the first woman in Division II history to record
2,000 points and 1,500 rebounds in a career. She also added an
assist, five blocks and two steals as ECSU improves to 10-12
overall.
The Lady Vikings led the Lady Blue Bears (5-16, CIAA 4-10) 27-25 at
the intermission then went on to outscore the home team 38-31 in
the second half. Clintoria Bryant paced Livingstone with 15 points
via five three-pointers.
The Lady Vikings will return to action on Saturday, February 9 as
they play host to Saint Paul's College. Game time is scheduled for
5:30pm at the R.L. Vaughan Center.
