Notes of interest: Hollis was instrumental in JCSU's 90-81 victory over the defending CIAA Champion Elizabeth City State University. He had 17 points, 12 rebounds, dished out five assists, three steals and two blocked shots. He averaged a double-double this week of 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Notes of interest: Thornhill had an outstanding outing against Shaw University. He was nearly perfect from the field connecting on 5-of-6 shots; all of which were from beyond the arc. He finished with 15 points while also dishing out four assists. 

 

Men's Coach of the Week

Coach Joyner led his team to two conference victories this week improving the team's record to 5-3 overall and 2-1 in the conference.

Notes of Interest: Trahan reached an amazing milestone with her 70th career double-double with a 23 point and 18 rebound performance against Johnson C. Smith. She has now moved into 11th place on the CIAA's All-Time Scoring list with 1,771 career points and is just one rebound shy of 1,300 boards for her career.

 Notes of Interest: Kinard nearly posted a double-double (9 points, 9 rebounds, 3 blocks) in helping the Lady Falcons beat St. Andrews 55-43 for their fifth straight win. 

 

 

Women's Coach of the Week

Vanessa Taylor, Johnson C. Smith University
Coach Taylor guided her team to a 2-1 record this week with her only loss coming at the hands of Division I Winthrop University. She led her team to wins over Mars Hill and Elizabeth City State to remain undefeated at home and in the CIAA.
