VSU'S JAMES HILL NAMED CIAA COACH OF THE YEAR

James Hill, the head coach of the Virginia State University women's basketball team, has been named the CIAA Women's Basketball Coach of the Year, the CIAA announced at it's annual CIAA Tournament Tip-Off Luncheon on February 23 in Charlotte, N.C.

This is the third time Hill has won Coach of the Year, and the second straight year he has won the award.

VSU finished the 2009-10 season at 21-5 overall and captured the #1 seed in the CIAA Tournament.

The Lady Trojans begin play in the CIAA Tournament at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 25 in the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, N.C.
