Chowan Head Coach Takes 2011 Leadership Honor

Newport News, VA…The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association’s Volleyball Coaches Association, in conjunction with the CIAA Executive Committee has selected Chowan University Head Coach, Peter Green as the 2011 CIAA Volleyball Coach of the Year.

Green, in his fourth year as the lead of the Hawks’ team, has amassed two CIAA Volleyball Championships (2010, 2011) and enters this year’s championship tournament with an impeccable 10-0; 16-0 record in the conference.

Under Green’s leadership, Chowan also boasts this year’s Player and Rookie of the Year; Victoria Lewis and Nikira Fults.

Chowan takes the floor this morning, to defend their crown against the Livingstone College Lady Blue Bears. Game time is 11:00am.
