Potter Joins Shaw Cross Country and Track Coaching Staff
RALEIGH, N.C. - Shaw University has hired Reava Potter as Assistant Coach in both Cross Country and Track and Field. The position was created when Shaw received the NCAA Division II Coaching Enhancement Grant that runs through 2017.
"It's an honor and a privilege to bring her on board," said Shaw head coach William Montague. "She brings a wealth of experience to the position. I look forward to working with her."
A four-year letter winner in track at Temple, Potter competed in the heptathlon, 400-meter hurdles, 800 meters and the triple jump. She also served as the head of the fundraising committee for Temple's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Potter graduated with a degree in Kinesiology in 2010, serving as the Owls' student assistant coach that same year. In her two years as a graduate assistant coach with Temple, she worked with the jumpers, sprinters and hurdlers.
